Persons experiencing behavioral health concerns may seek the advice of their primary care physician. They can assist with a referral to the Mid Coast Hospital Behavioral Health Outpatient Services line (207-373-6950). Patients, family members, or concerned persons/professionals may also call the Outpatient Behavioral Health intake line to find help.

If you need assistance with finding a primary care physician, please call the Mid Coast Medical Group Physician Referral Line at (207) 373-6033. Emergencies should be treated in our Emergency Department, or for life threatening concerns by calling 9-1-1.

Addiction or Substance Abuse

For those struggling with addiction or substance abuse concerns, the Outpatient Behavioral Health Department’s intake service is available for free, walk-in consultation Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. They can be reached toll free at 1-800-244-3805 or by calling 207-373-6950.
