Healthcare Career Day returns to Mid Coast Hospital, Wednesday,
March 27, 2013
Originally developed to appeal to students in high school, the format and focus have been broadened to include local college students as well as post grads looking for a career change. High School students can contact their guidance department for more information and a flyer about the day. Anyone can call the hospital at 373-6015. “Students can register directly with us at the hospital, but should still check with their school guidance department to find out about excused absence requirements or to see if the school is providing transportation,” hospital volunteer director Millie Stewart says.
“These professionals are very able to point our guests in the right direction for training and education,” says Farrell. “They will have the real scoop about what is going on in fifty career fields and what the requirements are to start.” There will also be information on the hospital scholarships and volunteer programs that may be a plus when applying for programs. Call 373-6015 to register!
