Mid Coast Hospital Recognized for Tobacco-Free Achievements
The annual Gold Star Standards of Excellence Hospital and Healthcare Organization Program Awardees have been announced for 2020. Mid Coast Hospital was recognized for meeting Platinum through the 2020 Gold Star Standards of Excellence program for efforts to prohibit smoking and tobacco use on campus and addressing client tobacco use. This was the ninth year Mid Coast Hospital has participated in the initiative.

Mid Coast–Parkview Health Announces Drive-Thru Flu Shot Clinics
During October and November, Mid Coast–Parkview Health will host a series of drive-thru flu shot clinics in Bath, Brunswick, and Topsham. Clinics will be offered every weekend in October at Mid Coast Hospital’s Parkview Campus, 329 Maine Street in Brunswick and at varying Mid Coast Medical Group practice locations. The fall 2020 drive-thru clinic schedule is available at www.midcoasthealth.com/flu.

Mid Coast Hospital Celebrates Successful 27th Annual Golf Tournament
Mid Coast Hospital’s 27th Annual Golf Fore! Health Classic on September 9 was a great success, raising more than $42,000 to support Mid Coast Hospital’s Center for Community Health & Wellness. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, certain changes were made to this year’s festivities to maximize the health and safety of attendees and staff.

COVID-19 Update: Information about Testing
While it is understandable that many Mainers and visitors are eager to be tested for the virus, because of the supply of testing kits available today, Mid Coast Hospital is currently only able to test patients who have symptoms of COVID-19. We are also testing patients before they undergo surgery or medical procedures at our facilities and anyone admitted to Mid Coast Hospital.
