Fernald, RD, LD
Alison
has been a dietitian/nutritionist
for
more than 20 years. She
graduated from the
University of Maine
at
Orono
and did her clinical
internship at Lahey
Clinic
in Massachusetts.
She
has a strong interest
in
preventing chronic
disease and loves
working
with
people. Alison
helps people focus
on self-care
behaviors
and food choices that
are essential
for improving health
and
quality
of life. She
is especially
interested in working
with
diabetics and overweight
children.
Helping people
understand
the sometimes
complicated nutritional
advice
that surrounds
us is her passion.
Alison counsels those
with
chronic
health issues such
as
cancer, kidney disease,
eating disorders,
and
heart
and pulmonary
disease. More
recently, she has
worked
with athletes to
achieve
optimal
sports performance
through nutrition.
