The Oasis Clinic, which provides healthcare to qualified persons without health insurance, is preparing to host it's second annual Women's Night, on Thursday evening, November 11, 5:30-8 p.m.

The evening will be an opportunity for women who need access to healthcare to avail themselves of the services of the Oasis Clinic. The clinic will be held at the Oasis Health Clinic, 66 Baribeau Drive, Brunswick.

Pap smear and clinical breast exams will be available to assist with the early detection of cervical and breast cancer. Preregistration is required and can be accomplished by calling 721-9277.

Services of the Oasis Clinic are made possible by the volunteer services of doctors, nurses, and support staff in the mid coast area. Since its inception, the Oasis Clinic has been supported by Mid Coast Hospital and Parkview Adventist Medical Center.

This event is part of a national effort by an alliance of organizations to raise awareness about manageable steps women can take to improve their health. The focus is on the importance of incorporating simple preventive and positive health behaviors into everyday life. It encourages awareness about key health issues among all women.

When women take even the simplest steps to improve their health, the results can be significant.
