Prostate Cancer Support Group
being formed at Mid Coast Hospital
* Unique group from Tuesday, November 23, targets all men and women
whose lives have been touched by prostate cancer

The first meeting and planning session of a new Prostate Cancer Support Group will be held at Mid Coast Hospital on Tuesday, November 23, 2004, from 6:30 8:30 p.m. All men and women whose lives have been touched by prostate cancer are invited to attend.

Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of death by cancer in men, killing nearly 30,000 men each year. But, with new testing and treatment options available, many men continue to live long productive lives following their diagnosis. The Prostate Cancer Support Group will be a forum for open, informative and confidential discussions about the personal stories of individual members, and for taking comfort in the shared histories, concerns and hopes of the group as a whole.
