MID COAST HOSPITAL SLEEP CENTER EARNS NATIONAL ACCREDITATION
The accrediation means assurances for patients


The Sleep Disorders Center at Mid Coast Hospital has earned accreditation by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

To be accredited, the sleep center voluntarily submitted to an on-site visit by the academy and was found to meet all of its requirements for excellence.

Accreditation means patients can be-

* assured of a knowledgeable, trained staff;

* confident of the highest of quality care and the most skilled physicians; and

* reliant that a diplomate of the American Board of Sleep Medicine is reviewing all sleep studies performed at the center.

The quality of care and the degree to which patient safety and dignity is respected at the Sleep Disorders Center is reflective of the high caliber of the staff which leads it.

Mid Coast Hospital's Sleep Center medical director is Hal I. Sreden, MD, a fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and a diplomat of the American Board of Sleep Medicine.

The lab's lead technologist-Marge Montejo, RPSGT, CRTT-has 25 years experience and has previously helped develop two other sleep labs.

The Sleep Disorders Center is situated on the third floor of the Medical Office Building.
