COVID-19 Update: Gratitude and Vigilance
During this week of gratitude, Mid Coast Hospital would like to thank our community for your ongoing support throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Our care team members are working extremely hard doing everything they can to care for our community. Your kindness and compassion during this difficult time makes a difference. Currently, we are in the midst of a surge of the COVID-19 Delta variant in the communities we serve, with Mid Coast Hospital caring for the highest number of COVID-19-positive patients since the pandemic began.

Pediatric COVID-19 Vaccinations at Mid Coast Hospital
As of November 2, COVID-19 vaccine eligibility has expanded. The CDC recommends that children age 5 to 11 years old be vaccinated against COVID-19 with the Pfizer-BioNTech pediatric vaccine. Currently, Mid Coast Hospital is providing COVID-19 vaccination for children 5-11 years old only.

Booster Doses Available at Mid Coast Hospital COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Beginning September 29
In accordance with the latest US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations, Mid Coast Hospital will begin offering COVID-19 vaccine booster shots to those who are eligible beginning Wednesday, September 29. Booster doses at the Mid Coast Hospital COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic will be available by appointment only.

Mid Coast–Parkview Health Announces 2021 Drive-Thru Flu Shot Clinics
During the month of October, Mid Coast–Parkview Health will host a series of drive-thru flu shot clinics at Mid Coast Hospital’s Parkview Campus, 329 Maine Street in Brunswick. Clinics will be offered the first four weekends in October from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Mid Coast Hospital’s 28th Annual Golf Fore! Health Classic on September 8 was a great success, raising $62,500 to support Mid Coast Hospital’s Center for Community Health & Wellness.

Mid Coast Hospital Reopens On-Site COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic
On Monday, August 30, 2021, Mid Coast Hospital’s COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic will re-open at 81 Medical Center Drive for eligible individuals to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Open for walk-ins, the clinic’s hours will be Monday through Friday, 3:00-5:00 p.m. Vaccines will be available to individuals who wish to receive their first and second doses; third doses will be offered to immunocompromised people.

COVID-19 Vaccinations Available at Walk-In Clinic
Mid Coast Hospital now offers COVID-19 vaccinations at the Mid Coast Hospital Walk-In Clinic, 22 Station Avenue, in Brunswick. The clinic offers walk-in vaccinations to individuals 12 and over Monday through Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The annual Gold Star Standards of Excellence Behavioral Health Awardees have been announced for 2021, and the Addiction Resource Center is among 9 Maine Behavioral Health Organizations Celebrated for Leadership through Annual Gold Star Standards of Excellence Program.

Mid Coast Hospital Classic 28th Annual Golf Fore! Health Tournament Raises Funds for Community Health and Wellness Efforts
The Mid Coast Hospital Classic 28th Annual Golf Fore! Health Tournament is scheduled for September 8 at the Brunswick Golf Club. This day of golf will generate much-needed funding for the Mid Coast Center for Community Health and Wellness to provide classes and resources to those in our community.

Free Tobacco Policy Support Available to Local Businesses
As a local State of Maine Tobacco Prevention Partner, Mid Coast Hospital is offering free tobacco policy technical assistance and incentives to local businesses. Any business in Sagadahoc County, Brunswick, or Harpswell looking to create or refresh its tobacco policy can work with Mid Coast Hospital’s Community Health Promotion team to receive free support and signage. Businesses that take part in this effort by June 30 will receive a $50 gift card to an online or local retailer.
