What We are Doing to Improve
Quality and Safety
We
support national and state projects that help
us measure patient outcomes. Activities that
promote patient safety and patient care are
continuous and ever-changing. We evaluate
data from many sources to determine our priorities
for improvement. Data comes from own information
systems, the federal government, state regulatory
agencies, insurers, patient feedback, and
educational and professional organizations.
Responsibility for improving quality and
safety at MCH belongs to all, from the Board
of Trustees directly through to the bedside
staff. Our goal is to achieve excellence in
the provision of care, treatment and services.
Our current priorities are focused on medication
safety, patient safety initiatives improving
communications, improving efficiency, and
adding new technologies that help us do our
job better.
