Getting a flu vaccine is an essential part of protecting your health and your family�s health this season. Flu vaccines have been shown to reduce the risk of flu illness, hospitalization, and death.

Getting a flu vaccine this fall will be more important than ever, not only to reduce your risk from flu but also to help conserve potentially scarce healthcare resources. During the COVID-19 pandemic, reducing the overall burden of respiratory illnesses is important to protect vulnerable populations at risk for severe illness, the healthcare system, and other critical infrastructure.

    Flu shots are available to anyone in the community over six months of age.
  • Is it safe to get a flu shot during the COVID-19 pandemic?
    Mid Coast�Parkview Health is following CDC guidelines at all locations to ensure safety of both patients and clinic staff. Team members will wear face masks when giving vaccines, and all individuals receiving a vaccine will be required to wear a mask. Health experts recommend everyone six months and older get a flu shot this year to best ensure your health and protect the health of the community.
  • Can I still get my flu vaccination at my provider�s office?
    Yes. If you have an appointment scheduled at with a Mid Coast Medical Group provider, the vaccine will offered to you at the time of your appointment.
